با شوک بزرگ و اندوه عمیق از درگذشت آقای ادوارد مونابی مطلع شدم. در حال تلاشم تا کلمات مناسب را برای توصیف درد از دست دادن مونابی پیدا کنم. او تنها یک حامی سرسخت و وفادار به فورد کنییا نبود؛ او یکی از قابل‌اعتمادترین کارکنان من، متحدی مورد اعتماد و بیش از همه، دوستی خوب بود. من نه تنها به دلیل فداکاری او در کارش، بلکه به این دلیل که می‌دانستم می‌توانم روی او تکیه کنم، به او بود. وفاداری او صادانه بود و تعهد و حضورش آرامش‌بخش بود. او پای من و آرمان‌هایی که به آن‌ها باور داشتیم ایستاد، آن اغلب بدون آنکه به دنبال تاییدیه یا ستایش باشد. مرار ناگهانی او خلایی دردناک به جای گذاشته که پر کردن آن دشوار خواهد بود. من شخصاً دلش مشورت، وفاداری، دوستی و قدرت آرامی را که با آن مسئولیت‌هایش را انجام می‌داد، دلتنگی خواهم کرد. به خانواده، دوستان، همکاران مونابی و تمام کسانی که افتخار آشنایی او را داشتند، عمیق‌ترین تسلیت‌های خود را عرض کنم. افکار و دعاهای من در این زمان بسیار دشوار با شماست. ادوارد، بابت وفاداری، خدمت و دوستی‌ات سپاسگزارم. همیشه سپاسگزار خواهم بود که مسیر ما با هم تاطع کرد. به شدت دلت تنگ خواهیم شد، اما هرگز فراموش نخواهی شد. خدا به خانواده‌ت قدرت و آرامش، و به تو آرامش ابدی عنا کند. در آرامش باش، دوست من.

It is with great shock and deep sadness that I have learnt of the passing of Mr. Edward Munabi. I am struggling to find the right words to describe the pain of losing Munabi. He was not just a staunch and loyal supporter of Ford Kenya; he was one of my most dependable staff members, a trusted ally, and above all, a good friend. I relied on Munabi not only because of his dedication to his work but also because I knew I could count on him. His loyalty was genuine, and his commitment and presence were reassuring. He stood by me and the causes we believed in, often without seeking recognition or praise. His sudden departure has left a painful void that will be hard to fill. I will personally miss his counsel, loyalty, friendship and the quiet strength with which he carried out his responsibilities. To Munabi's family, friends, colleagues, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him, I offer my deepest condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this incredibly difficult time. Edward, thank you for your loyalty, your service and your friendship. I will forever be grateful that our paths crossed. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. May God grant your family strength and comfort, and grant you eternal rest. Rest in peace, my friend.
