What has been happening in the skies over the past few days is horrific – Putin is doing this ahead of his elections. He is stepping up his strikes, terrorizing our children day and night. This is a new tactic, and we will respond in kind until the terror ends and Russia’s war ends. Today, we have about 60 companies in Ukraine already working to shoot down jet-powered drones. We are now looking to mass-produce these capabilities. But this is defense, and it is Plan B. Plan A is to accelerate diplomatic efforts as much as possible to de-escalate the situation. The issue of Donbas is not just about Donbas – it is about this war. A war for survival and a war of attrition. And it is about territory, which is what the Russian side is after. We have grown stronger on the battlefield, in the east, where the enemy is active and has increased its number of troops. And I believe that after the elections in Russia, there will be a mobilization exclusively for this sector. Many geopolitical issues are being decided there.
