دوستان عزیز، خواهران و برادران در سراسر بنگلادش، پنجشنبه گذشته روزی است که برای همیشه در قلبم خواهد ماند؛ روزی که پس از ۱۷ سال طولانی به خاک میهنم بازگشتم. گرمای استقبال شما، دریای چهرهها در امتداد خیابانهای داکا و دعای میلیونها نفر، لحظاتی هستند که هرگز فراموش نخواهم کرد. عمیقترین سپاس من از همه شماست. واژهها نمیتوانند احترام و عشقی را که من و خانوادهام در این بازگشت به وطن احساس میکنیم، بهطور کامل بیان کنند. از حامیانی که در تمام سختیها کنار ما ماندند و هرگز امید را از دست ندادند، سپاسگزارم؛ شجاعت شما همچنان به من نیرو میبخشد. از اعضای جامعه مدنی، جوانان، حرفهمندان، کشاورزان، کارگران و شهروندان از همه اقشار، سپاسگزارم که به ما یادآوری کردید قدرت حقیقی بنگلادش همواره در مردم آن نهفته است، آنگاه که متحد باشند. صمیمانه از رسانهها برای پوشش حرفهای و دلسوزانه این لحظه تاریخی تشکر میکنم و نیز از همه کسانی که در خدمت ملت ما هستند، از جمله آنان که امنیت و آرامش را در جریان بازگشتم تضمین کردند. خدمت شما ارزشمند است. همچنین میخواهم از رهبران سایر احزاب سیاسی و جنبشها که از بازگشتم استقبال کردند، قدردانی کنم. از تأملات خردمندانه آنان که بر دموکراسی، همزیستی چندحزبی و اراده ماندگار مردم تأکید داشتند، سپاسگزارم. از استقبال گرم و امیدی که برای فرهنگ سیاسی دموکراتیک و صلحآمیز ابراز شد و نیز فراخوان برای عبور از سیاست مبتنی بر انتقامجویی، قدردانی میکنم. این سخنان را با فروتنی و احترام میپذیرم. وقتی دیروز سخن گفتم، از یک برنامه سخن گفتم، نه صرفاً یک رؤیا، برای آینده بنگلادش: کشوری که در آن صلح و کرامت رونق یابد، هر جامعهای احساس امنیت و ارزشمندی کند و هر کودکی بتواند با امید رشد کند. این برنامهای برای همه بنگلادشیهاست. بنگلادشی متحد و فراگیر. بنگلادشی که با هم به پیش میرود. از اینکه به من خوشآمد گفتید، سپاسگزارم. خداوند بنگلادش و همه شما را حفظ کند، اکنون و همیشه.

Dear friends, sisters, and brothers across Bangladesh, Last Thursday is a day I will carry in my heart forever, the day I returned to the soil of my homeland after 17 long years. The warmth of your welcome, the sea of faces along the roads of Dhaka, and the prayers of millions are moments, I will never forget. My deepest thanks to all. Words cannot fully express the respect and love my family and I feel for this homecoming. To our supporters who stood by us through every trial and never lost hope, your courage continues to give me strength. To members of civil society, youth, professionals, farmers, workers, and citizens from all walks of life, thank you for reminding us that the true power of Bangladesh always lies in its people, when united. I sincerely thank the media for covering this historic moment with professionalism and care, and all those who serve our nation, including those who ensured safety and calm during my return. Your service matters. I also wish to acknowledge and thank leaders of other political parties and movements who welcomed my homecoming. I appreciate the thoughtful reflections that emphasised democracy, multiparty coexistence, and the enduring will of the people. I am grateful for the warm welcomes and for the hope expressed for a democratic, peaceful political culture, as well as the call to move beyond politics driven by vengeance. I take these words with humility and respect. When I spoke yesterday, I spoke of a plan, not just a dream, for Bangladesh’s future: a country where peace and dignity thrive, where every community feels secure and valued, and where every child can grow with hope. This is a plan for all Bangladeshis. A united, inclusive Bangladesh. A Bangladesh that moves forward together. Thank you for welcoming me home. May Allah bless Bangladesh and all of you, now and always.
