Rallying 4 Recovery brought Jamaica’s story of resilience to the international motorsport stage. Following the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa, Filippo Marchino and his team carried Jamaica’s colours and message of support to Rally Monte Carlo. His rally car proudly displayed the Jamaican flag and the message, “The world stands with Jamaica, the world cares,” while funds raised through the Monte Carlo effort went towards Hurricane Melissa relief. I had the pleasure of welcoming Filippo and his co-driver, Alex, to the Office of the Prime Minister today where they made a special presentation to me. I thank Filippo, Alex, Jeffrey Panton and everyone involved in Rallying 4 Recovery for standing with Jamaica and using their platform to support our people as we continue the work of recovery.
